New Delhi: A magnitude 7.1 earthquake hit the Kermadec Islands area, situated north of New Zealand, on Thursday morning, in line with a USGS assertion. The tremor occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres. Tsunami waves are doable for coasts inside 300 kilometres of the epicentre, in line with a separate assertion from the company. The Australian Division of Meteorology confirmed in a tweet that there isn’t a tsunami risk.
